Testimonials
Wheels to Succeed has been fortunate to be a part of the lives of so many children and families.
Here are some of their stories:

Avery

"...thank you so much for the bike.  It's so much fun.  My brother and I go on Sunday bike rides together.  And thank you for letting me join the bike race.  It was so fun.  Thanks again."

Lige

"Thank you so much for giving your time, talents and abilities to make this great gift possible for Lige.  He LOVES his bicycle!  You all have given him the ability to move about with such freedom!  He is such a champion!  He won 2 gold medals (referring to the 2008 Kid's Bike Race) and he has shown them to everyone.  We were so proud we were crying!  We all kept it (the bike) a big secret from him. He kept saying 'Is it really mine? Can I take it home?'  He watched it in the back of the truck all the way home.  He wants to ride all the time!  This has been a big year for Lige.  He has gone from almost dying in April to winning bike races.  You have helped make this a great year for him!  Thank you all so much for this wonderful gift.  Hope to see you at future races!"

Julian

"...the one thing that warms the heart of a parent is seeing their child smile, and that could not have been truer than seeing Julian delighted at the sight of his new bike.  He couldn't wait to get it out on the street and do what the other kids in the neighborhood were doing, riding and showing off his new bike!  Of course the bike is fun to Julian but as you know it serves a dual purpose, providing him with valuable exercise and therapy that will serve to improve his condition....the compassion and willingness to help our special individuals achieve some normalcy and happiness is sincerely appreciated.  Please accept my thanks to all involved in this truly special program!  P.S. Julian is vigorously preparing for the race!!!"
Noah
"Yesterday, Noah had a magical day. He was presented with a beautiful brand new adapted bike by the generous organization "Wheels to Succeed." The event was hosted by Royal Nissan on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.  Noah had been counting down the days until he was to receive his bike ever since the day Mrs. Ashley, his PT, informed him that he he would be getting one.  When we arrived at 11:00AM, he could not stop smiling....Within a few minutes of us arriving, he was fitted and place on his very own bike.  Thank you to every single donor and volunteer involved with and supporting "Wheels to Succeed" that made all of these smiles possible!  Noah's story is not finished yet, though.  He could not wait to get home to ride his new bike.  Noah could not stop honking his little tiger horn!  It was perfect.  He could honk it without a problem and it was his favorite mascot, Mike the tiger of LSU of course!"

Jeanne

Jeanne and her family are pictured below after she competed in the RocketKidz Triathlon in the Comet Relay team division on Sunday, August 2, 2009 using an adapted bike.  This was Jeanne's second year to compete in this event.  In 2011, this triathlon created the RocketBoosters team to increase participation opportunities for kids with physical disabilities.
